A custom pool is built around your yard, your home, and how you plan to use the space. Nothing starts from a stock shape. At Santa Clarita Custom Pools, we design and build gunite pools for homeowners in Santa Clarita and nearby communities. We are a family-owned company with over 25 years of experience.
Many of our clients come to us because a standard pool will not fit their lot, or because they are redoing the whole backyard. Slopes, tight side yards, and drainage are common in the Santa Clarita Valley, and we plan for them from the start. We manage the work in-house, from the first consultation through permitting, construction, and finishing.
Our Custom Pool Process
Every pool follows the same basic path. The details change with the lot, but the order stays the same.

Consultation and Site Evaluation
We start by talking through how you want to use the pool and what you want from the yard. Then we visit the property.
We measure the yard and look at slope, drainage, equipment access, utilities, and any easements or setbacks that limit where a pool can go.

Design & Engineering
We prepare preliminary drawings that show the pool's shape, size, and location. Once the layout is settled, we move to detailed engineering plans for the structure and equipment.
Tile, coping, decking, and finish choices are made during this phase, using samples so you can see how the pieces fit together.

Permitting & Approvals
New pools in Santa Clarita go through City Building & Safety review, and the plans must include barrier and drainage details. The City may also ask for a soils report on some lots.
We prepare the plans for review. Permit requirements depend on the scope of work and local regulations, so we confirm what applies to your property.

Excavation, Plumbing, Electrical, and Gunite
Once permits are in place, we excavate and set the steel. We then coordinate plumbing, electrical, and gunite application in sequence so each step supports the next. Construction often takes eight to twelve weeks, depending on pool size, site conditions, and weather.

Finishing, Equipment, and Startup
We complete the tile, coping, decking, and interior finish. Then we install the pool equipment and finish the startup procedure.
The goal is a pool that is ready to use as soon as construction wraps up.
